Bronx River Slow Roll
Celebrate Car Free Earth Day with a bike ride! Join Transportation Alternatives for a family friendly ride along the Bronx River Greenway. This 6-mile ride will start at the Woodlawn Metro North station and conclude at Starlight Park. The pace will be 7-9 mph – prefect for the kiddos! Most of the route is on the Bronx River Greenway, a separated and protected bicycle path along the Bronx River. One part of the route will cross Tremont and 177th Street where the group will dismount and cross the street on foot. It will end at Starlight Park where the Bronx River Alliance will be hosting an Open House with free paddling and other activities. Participants will receive a water bottle from REI while supplies last.
Meet up at 9:30 am on the northeast corner of Webster Ave and 233rd Street. Wheels down at 10:00am.
Bring a helmet and your own bike.
