Brooklyn Oktoberfest

Seizing the hop-portunity to celebrate the new season, Hotel Indigo Williamsburg announces “Oktoberfest at the Graffiti Garden.” The hotel is toasting to the Borough by inviting fall-lovers to unite over local brews, bites, and the crisp autumnal ambiance. The un-beer-lievable weekend will take place at the hotel’s ‘secret’ Graffiti Garden, a lush courtyard located behind the hotel’s newly designed 100-foot long mural by local graffiti artist Fernando “SKI” Romero.
On Saturday, October 15, 2022 and Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 12 PM to 5 PM, neighbors and guests are invited to don their comfiest sweaters and embrace PSL season with local seasonal beers, warm beverages, and Oktoberfest-inspired fare.
Hotel Indigo Williamsburg welcomes the opportunity to support the neighborhood: “As we enter a new season and work to reactivate our socializing spaces, we want to be a haven for our community and a destination for our guests to experience the best our neighborhood and Borough have to offer,” says Hotel Indigo Williamsburg General Manager Nicolas Daeppen.
Oktoberfest-goers can taste the best of the Borough with the following partners:
Kings County Brewers Collective: KCBC – the first fully operating Bushwick brewery in over 40 years – will serve its Superhero Sidekicks Hazy IPA and Marble of Doom VI Fruited Sour alongside a seasonal Zøktoberfest Märzen Style Lager. The on-theme Zøktoberfest’s smooth, bready malt character and crisp finish is worthy of your best lederhosen.
Evil Twin Brewing NYC: With taprooms in both Ridgewood and Dumbo, this nanobrewery is known for its unique flavors, limited edition one-off brews, and seasonal specials. For Oktoberfest at the Graffiti Garden, Evil Twin NYC will pour its Greenhouse German Pils, an oak-conditioned Pilsner; Chopping Wood, a hazy double IPA with wildflower honey; and To The Pumpkin Patch & Back, a fall-inspired Milkshake IPA that hits all the fall flavors (think: pumpkin pie filling, fresh roasted coffee, cacao nibs, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg).
Fette Sau: All fired up! The team at Fette Sau (which translates to ‘fat pig,’ but has a more unflattering and mischievous meaning in German) is known for its part Central Texas and part New York Deli barbeque style. The meat-focused menu (all of which are heritage breeds raised naturally by small family farms and contain no antibiotics or hormones) will serve Oktoberfest must-haves: pulled pork sliders and a selection of sausages alongside fan-favorite BBQ sides.
GERTIE: GERTIE is a hip Jew-ish diner offering homemade bagels, deli classics, and a fully stocked bar daily for breakfast, brunch and lunch. GERTIE will be serving their special menu of NYC Pretzels with Mustard + Beer Cheese, Chicken Schnitzel Sandwiches, Smoked Fish Dip + Chips, GERTIE Pickles and German Potato Salad. GERTIE is eager to welcome locals to the hotel’s Graffiti Garden, just blocks from the restaurant’s home base at 357 Grand Street. Catering and private events are also available. If interested, reach out to [email protected] for rates and special menus.
BKG Coffee Roasters: A Brooklyn based micro-roaster, BKG is the Hotel Indigo Williamsburg’s official coffee partner and available daily in the lobby bar. Dedicated to pushing the limits in its relentless pursuit of coffee perfection, BKG will serve espresso-based coffees, chai lattes, and hot apple cider for those in search of a toasty pick-me-up.
Admission to “Oktoberfest at the Graffiti Garden” is free; food and beverage will be available for purchase at participating stalls. The L and G trains can be accessed on-site at the Metropolitan Avenue/Lorimer Street subway station.
