New DAWN: Brain Health Summit Faith, Science and Music Unify to Engage, Encourage and Empower the Black Church about Alzheimer’s Disease and Brain Health

The United States is facing a future where millions are affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The DAWN Alzheimer’s Project at Wake Forest University School of Medicine seek to understand, the disease, by educating communities about the 10 warning signs, risk factors and the importance of participating in research studies. To support these efforts, Pastor Rev. Dr. Roger L. Hambrick of Green Pasture Baptist Church, will host the Dawn Brain Summit: Unity Music and Brain Health Symposium within the Black Church. The Health Summit will consist of three levels of engagement: Keynote address by Dr. Goldie Byrd, Health Panel & Luncheon, The Bronx Mass Choir Music and opportunities to participate in Alzheimer’s research. This event is open to the public at no charge, lunch will be provided.
