New York State Abolition Commemoration Day

Join the Bronx Branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) for this year’s Abolition Commemoration Day, a State Holiday on the 2nd Monday of July each year celebrating the end of slavery in New York. There will be programs in the morning and afternoon marking this momentous day.

The exhibit on display throughout the day is provided by The Bronx County Historical Society.
