Oyate Group Presents “Visual Poetics” featuring Elizabeth Shanaz

Oyate Group is proud to present “Visual Poetics,” an immersive literary and visual experience featuring the work of Elizabeth Shanaz, a dynamic New York-based writer whose portfolio spans poetry, legal analysis and cultural commentary. As a first-generation Guyanese-American Muslim woman, Elizabeth’s work draws on diasporic memory, faith, and the complexities of millennial consciousness to tell stories often silenced or overlooked.

This event is part of Oyate Group’s broader commitment to amplifying Indo-Caribbean voices and showcasing the intersections of art, ancestry and identity. Attendees can expect live readings, a curated display of visual pieces and an open dialogue that invites reflection and celebration.
