SOMOS Community Care Hosts First Community CareFest 2025 In Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, SOMOS is hosting its first Community CareFest 2025, a free indoor festival that will serve as a one stop destination for health, wellness, and culture.

The event, co-sponsored by Hostos Community College, will highlight SOMOS’ new Social Care Network for Bronx Medicaid members, connecting families to services such as food, housing, and transportation, along with free wellness and mental health screenings.

The festival will also feature a live performance by award winning artist Raul Acosta and Oro Sólido, with music by the legendary Heavy Hitter DJ Enuff. Families can enjoy the Kids’ Fun Zone with meet and greets featuring Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol, face painting, free back to school supplies, educational materials, along with plenty of food and refreshments.

Guests can join a lively Bachata Contest and enter raffles for a chance to win exciting prizes including a brand-new iPhone 17 Pro, Bose earbuds, and more.
